Bible Question:
Thanks to all for the discussion on animals in heaven. Hank, I don't know who you are...but brother you are a scream!! Funny! FYI, I was just asking...re: the Peter in the vision. It's not a belief. You responding, humourous though a bit sarcastic...and I am just new here and looking for answers. The next to the last person's response... I really appreciated. It made sense and you really backed your stuff up with scriptures rather than attacking my question. It came back to my basic belief that we all just do not know exactly what will happen in heaven...only God knows in the end. That's so comforting isn't it everyone!? God is so good. Thanks again for the responses everyone, I learned alot and laughed in the process. |
Bible Answer: "Thanks to all for the discussion on animals in heaven. Hank, I don't know who you are...but brother you are a scream! Funny!" ..... Well, I'm glad you found my Ozarkian homespun attempt at humor amusing. Just for you I will add a footnote to my user profile that is already on record. I'm a rather unpolished product of the Ozark hills, a cracker-barrel philosopher of sorts, and a mere Christian. I've never owned a Honda Accord, but since we got hooked up to this new-fangled wonder called electricity last year, we hitched up our mules to the wagon and drove down to Wal-Mart and bought ourselves a television set. Now we can watch "Animal Planet" on the tube. Before that, we just looked out the window and saw the animals in person. But we didn't have the benefit of that funny-talking Australian fellow to tell us whether we were watching a deer or a razorback hog, although we generally managed to figure it out for ourselves. TV ain't all that it's cracked up to be, not by a long shot. I never have been able to figure out just why folks spend so much time looking at pictures of life when they could just as well get up off their milking stools and go out into the beautiful real world that God made and enjoy it and all God's fascinating creatures first-hand. My daughter has two pretty cats, but I ain't never tried to convert them, and we don't take them to Sunday School. They romp and play and seem to enjoy their life here on earth. I expect they don't think much about whether they will go to heaven. Leastways, it don't seem to bother them much. --Hank |
