Bible Question:
Our God[Lord Jesus] is a fair God but why has He choosen the Jews andIsrael as the apple of His eyes? |
Bible Answer: In OT times the Jews WERE God's people. They were the fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham for his obedience. God promised to greatly multiply Abraham's seed and to give them the promised land to live in. Also (though I can't quite remember where) God promised him that the saviour would be born in this nation. In NT times God's people are those that choose to follow Him. I believe that a "Jew" is then used as a symbol to indicate a true christian. Rom. 2:28-29 and Gal. 3:7 and 28-29 |
