Bible Question:
Dear EdB My brother belongs to an Assembly of God church and the church seems okay, but my brother seems to only be loving towards other believers. I married a Mormon man and I'm trying to witness to him. However, my brother won't even talk to him or let him in his house. I am no longer invited to family functions at my brothers house. I thought that you are to love everyone and try to witness to them since God doesn't want anyone to perish. Is this just my brother's idea or does his church teach predujice? |
Bible Answer: dat First your brother did not get justification for his actions from the Assemblies. Your right we are to reach out to everyone in love. My concern here is you. If you are a Christian what were you thinking marrying a Mormon? The word clearly tells us not to be unequally yoked. Are you sure your brother's reactions are not more the the result of you unequally yoking yourself to a non believer rather than a prejudice on his part against a mormons? Again I'm not justifing your brother but you put yourself and your family in a hairy situation. One that is not easily going to be resolved. The damage is done and now your family needs to get pass the hurt and do everything they can to win you husband to the Lord. It is hard to love someone you know will not be spending eternity with you. I imagine it is even harder on you. You have my prayers EdB |
