Bible Question: where do the children and youth belong in the body of christ. |
Bible Answer: Matt 18:3 Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. One place that children fit into the "ministry" is that they are to be an example for us. They have certain characteristics that we have to have in order to grow in Christ. Children in the natural realm are a parallel (in some ways) of children of God. i.e. They are very trusting - so should we be trusting of our heavenly Father. They easily forgive. I'm sure you can think of other things that we should have in our character that can be seen in young children. Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Another place they have in the body of Christ is that we may mininster to them in being an example and in leading them the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is assuming they have already given their hearts to Jesus. My, how much we can learn from them as we care for them! There's probably other places children and youth fit into the "ministry" that I have not thought of at this time. nsgrace |
