I've been told that black people originated when one of Moses's son's was maikung fun of him for being drunk. Is there and scripture to base this on if not how do we explain the different races and does scripture say anything about interracial marriages and child bearing? -a concerned parent who loves the Lord |
Bible Answer: I've been told that black people originated when one of Moses's son's was maikung fun of him for being drunk. I agree with the others regarding bigotry. It has no place in the kingdom. I disagree that God turned any people group black (or white - I see no evidence that Adam was a white guy) as a punishment or a reward, for anything. One of Noah's sons made fun of him when Noah got drunk and saw him naked. For that bit of irreverence, Noah cursed his son AND his descendants to be servants. See Gen 9(for the story), 10(for the genealogy of Noah's descendants) and 11(for the story of the tower of Babel, which some believe shows how families became people groups, which became ethnicities, which became nations.)
