Bible Question:
WHAT SHOULD ONE SAY WHEN A FRIEND ASKS YOU WHY YOU DON'T DRINK OR GO TO PARTIES AND DANCES AT SCHOOL. |
Bible Answer: Drinking is a personal preference...it is not sinning unless you put it before God or other priorities that God designates in your life. So basically, if you don't GET DRUNK, then you're fine, in my opinion. In Proverbs 20:1, the Bible says "Wine is a mocker, and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise." The same goes for dancing...there are things that go on at dances that shouldn't go on, but that again is your decision. Their is NOTHING UN-Biblical about dancing! That notion is very ignorant. The next time that you hear that, tell them to prove it, and then point out that David danced before the Lord and Michal was cursed with barrenness for criticizing him. |
