Bible Question:
Cyclist, greetings ... I asked the questions to see what you believe and understand what you did. I like to know all sides of an issue. let me clarify ... 2. I asked, "are you aware Satan has copied estatic speech?" because just because there is estatic speech in a church mena it is from God. 3. I asked, "when you did your interpetation, was it after one and only one person spoke ... or did a group speak, then you?" is because I wanted to know if the church you were at was following 1 Cor 14, in particular, verse 27. 4. Then question 4 ... People have gone in a quote John 3:16, in Greek ... then someone "interpeted" what was said. When the interpeter was done, the speaker of Greek stood up and said the interpetation was wrong. Then a regular attender, a Greek professor, confirmed the interpetion was wrong and in fact was John 3:16. Again, just because there is an interpetation, means it is done correctly. I am not saying that you do not have the gift of interpetation, but Satan has crept in the church and has people teaching incorrectly ... and it is not this issue of tongues and interpetation. I enjoy taking time just reading and searching the Scripture, without any aids. God shows me new things. Then I get to challenge the "experts" and ask them to find eror I what I believe. Hope this helps, Searcher |
Bible Answer: Dear Searcher, The Lord our God is blessed forever! I praise my God for His goodness and for His loving kindness! I praise Him for His mercy that endures forever! I hope your week went well. As promised I wanted to get back with you on the questions that you posted for me. 2. No I am not aware of this fact. Thank you for giving me this information. I pray to God that I will never be used by the enemy in estatic speech. What does "estatic" mean? 3. My interpretaion experience was like this: During a service we were singing songs to the Lord. After a particular song the entire congregation was caught up in praise to God. The praise continued for several minutes. There were many people, at least three, speaking in tounges. Then everything became very quite. I then quoted the following scripture (I had not memorized these verses prior to this): Rom 8:5 and 9 "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you" So it was edification and not profecy. 4. Point taken. I am afraid that you will not find me very much of a challenge as an expert. You will find the very description of me in the following scripture: 1 Cor 1:26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; Have enjoyed this exchange with you Searcher. I am truely persuaded that you are a gift to this forum, by that I mean, someone like yourself is needed here to keep things in line with the word of God, and, to keep the enemy from fooling us. This is why I am thankful for you! Please keep up the great searching! God bless you, Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
