Bible Question: Again ,are women allowed ,Biblically to be pastors? If so ,then who is Paul adressing in Corinthians and Timothy? |
Bible Answer: The role of women in the church has somewhat been distorted lately. When Paul speaks to the role of women, one is refernce to church business when their husbands are present. The other speaks of an effort to restore order via the direction of Paul as the overseer. We fail to realize most occasions Paul was speaking from his perspective and what worked for him in times past according to what he read dealing with Moses. But Jesus declared he would poor out of his spirit upon all flesh. It also states that in Christ there is no male or female. When the word is needed God will do what he deems necessary to get his point across. |
