Bible Question:
NSAB Matt 19:6 "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate3." AMPLIFIED Matt 19:6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder (separate). And 4 Mark 10:9 "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." My question is if we are sure that God did not really join us together but it was an act our our own will then does that mean we can divorce? |
Bible Answer: Weather or not two people get married within the will of God, or outside His will, they are married. Marriage is the first (Gen.2:24) and most important institution found in the bible. The second ofcourse being the church. I say marriage is first because it takes marriage and family to form the church. God's intention from the very begining was for one man and one woman to be united, and stay that way until one of them died. This is documented throughout the scripture. When a couple gets married these rules apply even if God had not intented for them to be married. The point is that they are married now, and its up to them to seek Gods direction in making it work. When people marry they take vows before God and He requires us to keep them. (Deut.23:21,Eccl.5:4,Num.30:2) In His service DWF |
