Bible Question: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF GOD AGRESS WITH CREMATION |
Bible Answer: Dear CHALEBERT, According to 1Cor 15:44 we have two bodies, a natural body and a spiritual body and when we take our last breath in the natural body we leave the physical world and enter into the spiritual. 1 Cor 15:42-46 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. KJV Or how about Ecclesiastes, Eccl 12:6-7 6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. 7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. KJV The spirit returns unto God who gave it, can also be stated as, to be absent from the natural body is to be present with God. 2 Cor 5:1-6 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: KJV I believe God could make another flesh body if He wanted to, But God himself is Spirit and I believe we are promised to live with Him in His image spiritually. I don't know exactly yes or no if God agree's with cremation, but I would believe ashes to ashes and dust to dust, from the ground we are and unto the ground we shall return according to the flesh which is seen as corruptible and weak throughout the Bible as we search for the Truth. Bless you, Love Fountain |
