Bible Question: Hello, I'm sure this'll be an easy one for you Bible Buff's out there but I have a hard time with dating and translating that dating from Hebrew to Gregorian. But in particular reference to Joshua 5:10, what would that date translate to? Thanks for your input, I'm looking forward to being impressed by you people. Love God, the Father, Son and Spirit! |
Bible Answer: No Compromise You ask a difficult question since the Bible doesn't give exact historical dates. Plus the fact that the Jewish calendar uses 360 day instead of 365 and the various other changes to the calendar the task of placing dates becomes daunting. However most scholars place the date of the Exodus as 1446 BC, since we know the children of Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years the date of Joshua 5:10 would be approximately 1406 BC.
