Bible Question: if God is so powerful then why do natural disasters happen and ruin people's lives? |
Bible Answer: People's lives have been ruined, as you put it, since the time of the events recorded in Genesis 3. It is solely by the grace of God that mankind has any hope of redemption. P.S. I would discourage the use of the subjunctive mood in speaking of God, as in the construction "If God is so powerful...." A suggested locution: "Since God is so powerful..." The former implies a contrary-to-fact condition. --Hank |
