Bible Question:
I am trouble with this young Preacher that is our church he is always wanting a job.he wanted ordained-than he wanted to teach the s.s. and be s.s s. now he is teaching the young folks and he tired of that.don't want long to do nothing.wants a church with salary and so he won't have to work a job...now this something i have got to get him./ what is going on here to me money I don't do nothing,now the only things I can get pay for an lazyie around is get me a church do it have way. Oh. Please help me to look for the ans. in his life if I could help him.jumping to quit and ready for nothing of that Leadership and the thing that goes with being a Pastor. Tell me some Scriptures that will help me understand thi. Thanks. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... 2Th 3:6-14; 1Ti 5:17-18 ... Greeting Grace, I am not sure what you mean about being ordained. Some preachers need to have a second job, because the church is unable to pay them enough. Preachers who don't have a second job do put in more than 40 hours and it does include being the administration head of the church, usually. Paul could of asked, even demaded the church pay him. He set the example of not being lazy (2Th 3:6-14). The "double honor" includes being paid (1Ti 5:17-18). Hope this helps, Searcher |
