Bible Question: what day of the week is considered as the sabbath and why? also is the old testiment fufilled and is no longer revelent to today's society? |
Bible Answer: The seventh day of the week, Saturday, always was, is now and always shall be the Sabbath day. The Sabbath as a day of complete rest for man and beast has not been changed or moved to Sunday. The OT has been fulfilled in Christ, but it has not been abolished. Is the OT no longer relevant to today? Try this: go through your NT and white out every OT quotation. After you've done that, you won't have much of a NT left. Someone has wisely said: "The OT is the NT enfolded. The NT is the OT unfolded." |
