Bible Question: I trying to explain to someone that there is no such thing as a silent prayer. Can you tell which scriptures would back up the fact that we need to verbally commmunicate with God? Even though God already know what we have need of before we even ask! |
Bible Answer: Response................. Others on this forum may disagree, but I believe there are appropriate uses for silent prayer. I give for example Nehemiah, where he stood before the king and offered up (as I see it) a short, silent prayer before continuing. Neh 2:4-5 Then the king said to me, "What would you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven. I said to the king, "If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor before you, send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' tombs, that I may rebuild it." Steve |
