Bible Question: Since Jesus did know he was God, then why would it have been such a struggle to sacrifice himself? My answer would be that he was fully human and He was fully God at the same time. It was the human side that would have struggled with the idea of being crucified and the God side that kept him focused. (I guess the same could be said for us) Is this something that can be backed up scripturally or is it more of a mystery thing? Or is there a better explanation? |
Bible Answer: Your answer is one that fits in with all we know of the Scriptural teaching that at all times Jesus was fully human and fully God. He never for one minute stopped being God. Yet, at the same time, he was fully man. Is there a better explanation? I think not. You have answered the question very well. |
