Bible Question:
Hi. I am preaching this week on Rev 3 - the letter to the Laodicean church. I have felt compelled to 'rewrite' that letter to my own congregation. Where do you think the line might be between heresy and conjecture and opening up the scripture? I ahve stayed true to the scripture. Yes, i have embellished and opened out the word - eg 'are you stale?' etc. helpful insight welcome! Loobylight PS - have not used this forum before so please go easy on me! |
Bible Answer: Greetings Loobylight, The book of Revelation is the only book in the Bible that carries a curse for messing up its contents. Rev. 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: [19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
