Bible Question: Please explain to me "premiillennium and postmillennium". I am totally lost ! |
Bible Answer: neal, God's day to you. There are 3 basic views on the millennium. The word millennium while not a biblical term it is used to identify the thousand year reign of Christ, while Satan is bound (Rev 20:1-7). Postmillennium is belief that the kingdom of God is now being extended throughout the world through the preaching of the Gospel and that all the world will become Christian. He will come then. Premillennium is that sometime in the future Christ will return to establish a literal earthly and political and kingdom in Jerusalem and will reign 1000 years on earth. Amillennial says that Christ established His Kingdom by His Death, Resurrection, and ascension to the throne of God in heaven, and thus that the kingdom of God is now being extended throughout the world through the preaching of the Gospel. The whole world doesn't have to become Christians. |
