NASB | Revelation 20:4 ¶ Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 20:4 ¶ And then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom judgment [that is, the authority to act as judges] was given. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had refused to worship the beast or his image, and had not accepted his mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Bible Question:
Does anyone know how long is a short time for Satan's reign on this earth? Rev 20:1-3 said that he'd be locked up for a thousand years then released to us. Could someone tell me when that thousand years began, when it ended, and how long more can we anticipate the dragon to be with us? |
Bible Answer: Satan will be locked up when Jesus returns to save the remnant of the Jewish state. After Satan has ruled here on earth for 3 1/2 years. Revelations 19 and 20. We shall rule with Jesus for a thousand years and at the end of that thousand years, TO THE DAY, Satan shall be released to go out and deceive the nations that we are ruling. Some translations state that Satan shall be returned for a short while. KJV that it shall be for a short season. There are four season in a year, each 3 months long. But some theologians state that there is not enough time for Satan to achieve what he wants to do in that length of time, therefore, they state that a season is 300 years long. Which makes sense to me. How about you? |
