AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 20:2 And he overpowered and laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent [of primeval times], who is the devil and Satan, and bound him [securely] for a thousand years (a millennium); [Rev 12:7-9, 12, 15] |
Bible Question: Rev 20:2 why bind Satan for a thousand years? |
Bible Answer: The answer to your question lies only with God. We are not told why this period of time was chosen. With God time is relative, 2 Pet.3:8 The reason is given for why he was bound, so that he would not decieve the nations, Rev.20:3. God gave the nations a break from his deception. I hope this is helpful. |
