AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged according to what they had done as written in the books [that is, everything done while on earth]. [Jer 17:10; Rom 2:6] |
Bible Question: The first 5 books of the bible is consider the books of laws. Therefore when Jesus return will the people in those days be judge by the same law as well? |
Bible Answer: This may be debated, but I think that, the laws were written to keep the Jews as a separate people (and also a healthier people) and the sacrificial laws were kept to remind people of how much they needed to be saved and, of course, as a poor substitute of our Savior to come. But it is by faith, and faith alone that salvation comes and always has come. Abraham may have observed all the laws and sacrifices, but it was by faith that righteousness was accounted to him. But just as we will be rewarded by our works (if our motives are right) so will they by their law. Debbie |
