Bible Question: Hello! I would really appreciate it, if somebody could answer this question: Does one go to heaven only if he believes in Jesus? You can't go to heaven only beacause of your good works do you? How would you explain why is that so? |
Bible Answer: You can't go to heaven because of your good works -- period. All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6 (KJV) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6 (ESV) We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. |
