AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 2:9 ¶ 'I know your suffering and your poverty (but you are rich), and how you are blasphemed and slandered by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan [they are Jews only by blood, and do not believe and truly honor the God whom they claim to worship]. |
Bible Question: Why do the Jews of present time refuse to read the new testament? |
Bible Answer: Hello Judith I believe your question can be answered from Romans 11. Romans 11:7-8 (ESV) What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, [8] as it is written, "God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, down to this very day." Romans 11:25 (ESV) Lest you be wise in your own conceits, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. Israel as a nation refused the kingdom, so the benefits of that kingdom have gone to the Gentiles until the time is complete. Steve |
