AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 19:7 ¶ "Let us rejoice and shout for joy! Let us give Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb has come [at last] and His bride (the redeemed) has prepared herself." [Ps 118:24] |
Subject: Are we prepared? |
Bible Note: I am actually not talking about salvation. That is not the issue I was bringing up. I was asking about the state the church (bride) is required to be in before she is ready to be wed. I realize that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but I don't read anywhere where it states - All continue to sin and Fall short...etc.. In fact everywhere I look in Paul's inspired writings is pointing to a perfection to be had. Not a perfection that we attain, but a perfection that comes with true intimate knowledge and love with the trinity. And with an obediance to the Fathers commands. Many of us have settled on "I'm just waiting for Jesus to come" When He is waiting on a pure and holy bride to come forth from the ashes of humanism. Ephesians 4 13[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[1] full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. Everyone is looking to the world to see how close we are to the Lords Return... I am looking at the state of his body, and I say Brothers and Sister -We have a long way to go. Even so Come Lord Jesus. |
