Bible Question: CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN REV.17:10,IN A JIST. |
Bible Answer: When we use our Bible for our study we find the answers very well fulfilled from Daniels Chp 7 gives us the information we need in order to understand Revelation 17:10. Alongside with our history books opened we can resolve this most Fully. Most scholars understand that the forth Beast of Daniels Vision is in fact Rome and Her empire. Daniel says this about the fourth Beast Dan 7:7 (KJV) After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. When we read about the Ten Horns we need clarity as to just what they represent, Daniel askd the messenger what is the truth about the Beasts, Dan 7:19-21 (KJV) Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; So now we have discovered that there are Ten Horns, but what do Horns mean? Dan 7:24 (KJV) And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Our answer comes with wonderful fulfillment if we know our history well: So here we have found that the horns represent Kings of the Roman Empire and matter a factly they are translated as Emperors of Rome. So now we have to decipher just who these Emperors are, we have enough information at this point to Find truth in Revelation aswell as our History books. And our History Books shall reveal alarming yet wonderful revelation to us. Rev 17:9-10 (KJV) 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. Verse 9 even declares that the fourth Beast is indeed Rome, for she sits on 7 mountains. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. Well we need a list of the Emperors of Rome in order to decipher the proper Emperor in our Study. We are not Just looking for the one who is , but need to back it up with all that surrounds Him As well. We will name all Ten Starting with the first Julian Caeser 1 .Julius Caesar B.C. 49 to B.C.44 2. Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus Augustus B.C. 31 to A.D. 14 3. Tiberius Caesar Augustus Tiberius A.D. 14 to A.D. 37 4. Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanias Caligula A.D. 37 to A.D. 41 5. Tiberius Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanias Claudius A.D. 41 to A.D. 54 6. Nero Claudius Caesar Agustus Germanicus NERO A.D. 54 to A.D. 68 7. Servius Sulpicius Galba A.D. 68 to A.D. 69 8. Marcus Salvius Otho Otho A.D. Jan 69 to April A.D. 69 9. Aulus Vitellius Germanicus Vitellius April A.D. 69 to Dec A.D. 69 10. Imperator Caesar Vespasianus Augustus Vespasian A.D. 69 to A.D. 79 Now we have Five are Fallen one is and the other is yet to come and his reign will be short. Short space. Now here we have Nero as the 6 th Which is the one who is. The proof is in the Scripture not the pudding. So if John writes His Revelation During the Riegn of Nero and Nero kills Himself in 68 A.D. Then Johns Revelation has taken on New Breath. How can this be when most say that it was written in 96 A.D. Well we see in Daniels vision that there are 10 Kings (horns) and three are plucked up or Short lived. This is exactly what happened in History the three plucked up are Galba Otho and Vitellius who all reigned with in a very short time a little over one yr. Plucked Up is a perfect Analogy of their three lives. This is also verified in Revelation Rev 17:10, And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. The one who must continue a short space is the first after Nero, Galba Fits this exactly. |
