Bible Question: Has anyone heard of Satan's flood and can you give me any information on it. I read about it in a King James study bible. |
Bible Answer: Greetings Taratoon, Revelation 12:15 "So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, the he might cause her to be carried away by the flood." [NKJV] [NKJV] - New King James Version I have seen so many different interpretations of this verse and what it "could mean", but I won't waste anyone's time by posting any of those varying (and sometimes conflicting) interpretations here, except perhaps my own.. One possible interpretation (mine) is that the "flood" in this verse is likened to a 'great army' that will come against Israel like a flood (v.15), see also: Jer. 46:8; 47:2. But I believe that one thing is certain about this verse: that it is written in a sense of apocalyptic imagery, and is not likely describing a "literal" event. Blessings to you, Makarios |
