AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 1:8 ¶ "I am the Alpha and the Omega [the Beginning and the End]," says the Lord God, "Who is [existing forever] and Who was [continually existing in the past] and Who is to come, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all]." [Is 9:6] |
Bible Question: I believe that Jesus is part of the trinity and is God. I'vve been searching the scriptures to find if Jesus did call himself God. The verse that comes close is John 10:30...I and My Father are one. This morning I ran across another verse, Revalation 1:8. Is Jesus talking in this verse? ..."I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Is Jesus calling himself God by saying the Almighty? I think yes because it correlates to the verse Revelations 22:13. Does anyone think these verses also correlate with Isaiah 41:4. I do believe that God is talking in thhe Isaiah verse. Comments please. Thankyou! |
Bible Answer: Hi seedling, Yes, I think you are absolutely correct. As Jesus the carpenter may have said, You hit the nail right on the head! He is indeed very God of very God, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First, and the Last, He is indeed, God, The Almighty God! John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God bless John |
