Bible Question:
I am weak in faith in Christianity. I would like to know something, If God created us, who created God? and they say that God was always there. But, something cannot be created from nothing. And: Why did Jesus have to be baptised? Jesus is one of the 3 Gods (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) I thought baptising was only for those that have sinned.. and clearly Jesus has never sinned. Thats why he can die for us human beings. But then I hear that human beings have sinned and Jesus was made a man. .. is this self explanatory?.. |
Bible Answer: No one created God. God is a spirit. You can't create a spirit. God has always just been. He is Forever. The bible itself says that he is the beginning and the ending the alpha and omega the first and the last. And as far as Jesus being baptized, Jesus was perfect and sinless. I think this was done for 3 reasons and people may disagree with me but that is their OPINNION. Matthew 3 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. Ok first of all, I had a real question about this myself, but when you find out the facts it's easy to understand. To be considered a priest in bible days unless born of a certain tribe you had to have some sort of "miraculous" intervention. That is what the Dove and the voice was. Basically a sign saying he was chosen. Second, it was a sign for John. John was the only one that the bible records saw the dove. There were a lot of people that the bible records but only John saw the dove and heard the voice. So it was a sign to John that this is the messiah. Thirdly, I think that it was an example of what we should do. It was a "pre-pentecost" experience. Jesus said Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. When we are baptized in Jesus name the Holy Ghost comes down. (Acts 2:38-39,Acts 8, Acts 10, Acts 19.) |
