Bible Note: Hi Nolan, thank you. well you know I could have added that because I knew it, but I just got on this board and I really want my answers to come off not sounding antagonistic. Sometimes we have a tendancy to drive the nail in to prove a point, but we fail to see that "loving others" comes first. I don't want to be a barrier to someone coming to know the Lord just because I have to prove my head knowledge. I have seen some messages on this board that are not very kind and I am wondering if I should stay on it or not. I was raised in a Catholic (culturally speaking) home, but gave my life to Christ at age 37 and chose to worship, study and fellowship in a local non-denominational doctrinely sound (bible beleiving and teaching) Christian church. From what I can tell this board has all brands of Christianity asking and answering. I believe that the Catholic "Religion" is not monolithic and also that many of them don't know what the actual doctrine is that the church is teaching )or not teaching), so it is very possible that someone who says they are Catholic could also very well be a believing Christian. I wasn't sure of the author's faith upon reading her question, so I chose to leave that part out regarding those churches not being Roman Catholic. I'll be praying about staying on this board. If I can do some good or plant or water a seed, that is what my purpose would be. Love in Christ, Paulette |
