Bible Note: Jesus answer to the disciples' question of Matthew 24:3 is inadequately answered by the preterist or the futurist. Often prophecy has a short term and long term interpretation -- Isaiah, prophesies, for example, from a short term, near term, and long term, sometimes interchangeably. The problem for the partial preterist is this: where in that passage does the short term prophecy end and where the does the long term prophecy begin. |
