Bible Note: Well, I can't think of any passage that matches this scenario. This sounds like an anecdotal story. As far as looking up the words, themselves . . . . Ezekiel 22:30 says, "I searched for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one. John Wesley comments that God was looking for someone, be they prophets, priests or just ordinary people, to intercede, before an offended God, for the nation of Israel and to beg for mercy. But all were corrupt. Could this be what you were thinking of? |
