Bible Question: It is wrong to desire (pray for) wealth and riches? |
Bible Answer: Scripture says that Paul says we are to prosper even as our soul prospers. Malachi 3 Says if we pay our tithes and offerings God shall rebuke the devourer from us. If you have the faith to believe for anything, then you can believe for finances. Jesus did not live poor as some people state. He was very well taken care of by his followers. Judas was the caretaker of his purse and Jesus often told him to give to the poor. If he was poor then how did he give to the poor? God said He would take care of us. He didn't say we would barely get by. Check with when the Israelites came from Egypt. They came with billions of dollars in gold, silver, jewelry, and about 10 million animals. That is not poor. Scripture says they stripped the Egyptians of wealth. If God does not want us to be well off then why did He allow them to take everything? |
