Bible Question: If anyone supports a political party or organization which endorses policies detrimental to the family or clearly violates the Word of God will God not hold them accountable? |
Bible Answer: Ventures Fan 1: Welcome to the Forum! You can change your Forum name by leaving a note in your present Update Uuser Info saying you have changed to.... Then sign in new again and stick with the new forum name. That is honest and open to all. I changed form farout to justme quite a long time ago. A few thought farout was, too farout. Long story but thats another rabbit to chase some other time. Now to your question. I have NEVER missed a time to vote in my entire time I could vote! I feel I paid a real heavy price to be able to vote. So I wont be deprived of my privledge! Recently I have voted by the "planks" of the party, rather than the man. I think abortion is murder! I will not vote for anyone who supports abortion! I do not support any more rights for any group that is different, just because they are sexual perverts!! I do agree with the rights of the people to have firearms. With these requirements I was left with one choice. If my Christian beliefs are in line with these requirements, I will in a local election, vote for the person who holds the same values as I do disregarding political party. This last Presidental election is the first time I voted for a winning President! No matter who is in office I pray for God to work in their live. I hope never again to have such an immoral President as Mr. Clinton was. That is not to say he was the only President that was unable to be sexually pure and true to his wife. There should be no doubt that those in leadership positions, in church or otherwise, will be held even more accountable for their actions. We all will answer for our deeds good and bad. I have friends who have supported the opposite party, that I could not, according to my Christian beliefs. One example was Jimmy Carter. I have had the privledge to hear him explain his reasons as to why he could not change abortion laws. I confess after hearing him I understood his reasoning. He is accountable to God, not to me any longer. I think he has made a better peacemaker and Christian example, out of office than when he was President. Don't you wish we could say that of all past Presidents? We are required to pray for our leaders, we have a job to do and let us be faithful in doing so. justme |
