Bible Note: Hi Edwin, Good answer! By letting the God of Love love through us, as we serve Him with our whole heart and mind and soul and strength! I like you referrence to Romans. Here are the first 5 verses of Romans 5: 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. "and hope does not disappoint" - what is it that we hope for? We know we will not be disappointed because God's love has been poured out into us through the Holy Spirit. My hope is to become like Jesus. I know that I will become like Jesus, because God has predestined me for that, and has given His holy Spirit, Who will bring this to pass. My submission to Him will only hasten that process. So my hope is not in what I see, but in what is promised, that I will in fact love others with the fulness of God's love. So, as they say, "Begin now." Thank you, Edwin, I think that is a great referrence for this question. What are some specific things we can do to help insure that our day-to-day interactions and behaviors are based in letting God's love rule, instead of our own will? Edwin? Anyone? Edwin, thank you, and I also wish you and yours a joyous Christmas celebration! Love in Christ, Mark |
