Bible Question: In Gen 5 God tells cain that he must answer sin |
Bible Answer: Hi Joshua, The scripture I assume you are referencing is Gen. 4:7 where Cain is opening the door of his soul to a spirit of murder towards his brother. 1 John 3:12 tells us that Cain was "of the evil one" implying that Cain did not heed God's adomition and resist the anger that was welling up inside him. We are also faced with the same type of temptation each day. Knowing who we are in Christ Jesus is the key to resisting the enemies temptations which are always designed to change us into his likeness, not God's. In Christ Jesus we have, through the Spirit of God, the power to become sons of God in everything that we do and are. Our transformation is a lifetime process! Keep your heart humble before God and He will give you the strength and grace to be like Him. |
