AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. |
Bible Question: If a man falls in love with another man even though he is married and with a child ....and they eventually have physical sexual relations, can he still receive God's forgiveness if he realizes how wrong he has been and sincerely repents ? |
Bible Answer: Short: All sinners, meaning all men, can receive salvation! Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1st Corinthians 6:9-11 Full: The key phase "sincerely repents". As in any breach of trust, it is going to take time to restore relationships to a semblance of what they were, it may not be possible. But God sees the heart and His Holy Spirit can renew His relationship with you with a simple prayer. |
