AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:1 [I am writing about] what existed from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life [the One who existed even before the beginning of the world, Christ]-- |
Bible Question: Back on 9/12 I posted my first question. I asked if I had possibly lost my chance at salvation, through committing an unpardonable sin. The encouragement received through the responses was wonderful. It had ended a three year struggle. Now, only a few days later, my joy has been replaced by a fear that I seem incapable to fight. The question is, am I supposed to experience something definative to confirm that my relationship with the Lord has been restored? It seems to me that there should be. Any comments would be appreciated, it's been a long day. |
Bible Answer: Greetings GJH, Suppose you owned a business and you had an employee that had just told you that he was going to quit. Now this employee was your best employee. He worked long hours without high wages. He did overtime to get the job done and never charged you a cent. He was one of those employees who went above and beyond the call of duty. What would you do to get this employee to stay? Would you tell him just about anything to stay? Well when you were not walking with God you were walking with Satan. He does not want to loose you back to Jesus. He will do and say anything to get you to doubt your faith in God. He is truly a deceiver. He will deceive you in all ways. You do not have to and probably won't experience anything "definative" to confirm your relationship. The bible tells you that your relationship has been restored! You are forgiven and your slate has been wiped clean! You must believe and know in your heart that God has forgiven you and the angels in heaven are rejoicing your return. Never doubt God. God is not a God of fear. Fear belongs to Satan. Do not allow Satan to get a foothold in your life by getting you to question God. Claim your Joy!!! prayon |
