|Bible Question: What does " in this tent mean", and"to stir you up mean." Is there a beneifit to reminding people? What does it mean by tent?|
Bible Answer: Greetings Russell41!

The "tent" is referring to this earthly body. See also 2 Cor. 5:1, 4
See verse 12 for an explanation of what Peter is talking about regarding "stir you up". Also, notice Peter says in verse 12 "though you know them and are established in the truth that you have." (NASB)
Therefore, we must agree with scripture and say yes! there is a "benefit to reminding people". We see here in this passage of the word of God that it is so. Peter, who was lead by the Holy Spirit to write these words clearly points out in verse 8 and 9 the importance. See verses 3-7 of what Peter is "stirring" them up / reminding them of.
Go back and read the passage from verse 3-15 to put it all in context.
