Bible Question: Can Satan actually put(insert, plant)thoughts into our minds? or do evil thoughts come from within our own selves? |
Bible Answer: Yes. The word heart and mind can be used interchangeably in this verse. In Acts 5:3 we are told that Satan filled Ananias mind to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land. We do not know how these thoughts, we could also call them suggestions, get from Satan into our minds but we know that they do. This is why Paul states in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Evil thoughts can also come from our own fleshly desires. Sincerely, Val |
