Bible Question: I would like to know what does it mean to join a church? Are we not already a part of God's family when we recieve Christ into hearts? Why the joining of the church? I go to church and I really enjoy church, but recently I have been asked to join it I don't understand the meaning or pressing need to do that? I thought we where already family of God? and the Church is Jesus Christ as one body.

I once was like you and felt the same way when i was invited by our church to join and be active in our christian life. And i tell you this is not easy to do, but once you are there, you'll thank our Lord Jesus Christ for it. For this will not just enlighten/uplift your spiritual feeling, but it will also help you to learn more about things, the like of serving, loving, worshipping, and praising God and not to mention sharing God's gospel to those who are in need of the word of God.
