Subject: Why will God judge the church? |
Bible Note: It has been my understanding that the first resurrection is for those who have died during the period of time between when the Church is taken out (1Thess. 4:17) and the Lord returns to the earth. I do not see the account as written in 1 Thess. 4:15 in Rev 20- do you? We, the Church will meet the Lord in the air, this is not the same as what is described in Rev 20:5. I suspect that part of the problem of understanding the "chain of events" of the Last Days is that in The Revelation, John is recording events as they are shown to him, I liken it to watching serveral different TV monitors at once. It is my personal belief that believers will be kept from the wrath of God - and the time of their "departure" is prior to the vial or bowl judgments - perhaps this is what John was told to seal up in Rev 10:1-7. But this is pure speculation and I don't believe it is wise to "camp" here. There are many "scholars" who have searched for understanding of the end times, and although we can discern the times, recognize the signs of His coming, no one really knows the day or the hour of His coming except the Father. I am convinced that He is able to "keep what I have committed unto Him against that day!" Keeping the Day in mind is a good reason to focus on today and may we continue to encourage others to seek the Lord while He may be found. mommapbs |
