Bible Answer: Good day to you Alliss! Praise be to Jesus! He is the way, the truth, and the light! All glory be to Him! The Webster dictionary defines forgiveness this way: to pardon; to cease to bear resentment against; to cancel (as a debt); to exercise clemency; to grant pardon. The Word of God on forgiveness, and these are just a few: Mat 6:15 "But if you do not forgive others, then your father will not forgive you." (NASB) Mat 18:21,22 (21).....how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? up to seven times? (22)"I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven." 1 Peter 3:5 is the verse is the refrence to your question. One could get the idea that this question has to do with a marital relationship. If so, you may want to give a little more detail. That is up to you though. This is a forum for all eyes to see. If not you may want to seek guidance from your pastor or a christian counselor. In Christ's Love, Cyclist |
