NASB 1 Peter 3:15 but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
AMPLIFIED 2015 1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy--acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect. Subject:  A logical defense? Show me the evidence!

Bible Note:  "Always be ready to give a logical defense..." 1 Peter 3:15 Amplified

The sources I quote are not infallible.

I am not infallible.

You are not infallible.

But sometimes I get the idea that no matter what I post, if it contradicts or does not support someone else's belief, then that person lightly dismisses the evidence presented and decides I am "wrong". How easy it is to assert that someone else is wrong. Anyone can assert anything, but asserting is not proving; asserting something does not make it true. Where is the scriptural support? Show me the evidence!

Everyone has the right to their own opinion, but no one has the right to be wrong in their facts.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion. But it would be helpful if, when you disagree, you would address the specific points the other person made and demonstrate why you think those points are invalid. When this is not done, then there is no dialogue, but merely two simultaneous monologues.
