AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Peter 1:23 for you have been born again [that is, reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] not of seed which is perishable but [from that which is] imperishable and immortal, that is, through the living and everlasting word of God. |

Bible Note: Greetings Mark! While I certainly agree with much of what you have written on this issue my friend, I would have to respectfully disagree that Gal. 5:1-7 is not speaking to Christians. In verse one, Paul commands his readers to 'stand' in the freedom that Christ has given them. He also commands them to not AGAIN take up a yoke of slavery. How could they 'stand' in freedom, or again take up a yoke of slavery, if they are not in fact free already? :-) It seems clear to me that Paul is warning Christians away from the false teachings of the Judaizers, not warning unbelievers that the Law will not save save them.
