Bible Question (short): Rehab's motivation |
Question (full): Because Rehab did not know the 10 commandments she wasn't morally obligated to obey them(?) Is it that a non-christian is not held to the same accountability as those of us who are saved. Rehab was a harlot (thou shalt not commit adultry) and she deceived the guards looking for Joshua (thou shalt not lie). I wonder if her lie was not to protect Joshua but to protect herself from prosecution for having them in her home. Maybe she was living by the social code of the time where survival was all that mattered.... |
