Bible Question (short): Numbers 31:2-10 |
Question (full): I'm in an anthropology class and naturally they aren't fond of religion, especially Christianity. My professor recently told us of an example of genocide of the Midianites in the Old Testament in Numbers that was supported by God. I just came from a site where I found the verses, but I'm wondering what God's plan was at that time. He wouldn't support that would He? Our professor was saying that they killed all the men and took the women and kids for themselves because the Israelites were having bastard children with them or something like that. What was the real reason for them to kill the Midianites? |
