Bible Question: How do you guys fight temptation? |
Bible Answer: Here is another good verse to think about and to go along with the other good scriptures and points that have been shared with you. Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Ocelot and Mark both pointed out the importance of the Word of God. Psalm 119:11 is another scripture that points to this importance. Read it, study it, learn it, know it and never stop! Keep in mind, Jesus is our example. His life gives us an awesome example of how to live and handle things we will be faced with. If you will, take a look back at Mark's post and read again the scriptures he listed (Matthew 4:3-10). Notice what Jesus did? He used scripture to fight against the temptations He was faced with. If this is what our Lord would do, then we should follow His example with confidence. Remember, there is power in the word of God (Hebrews 4:12) Your brother in Christ, Steve |
