Bible Question: A minister told me that all sins are the same to God. That people judge or compare sins to feel better about their own sins.Is this true? Is gluttony the same as murder to God? |
Bible Answer: Hi Alifaye, James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. No matter what sin you commit, all sin is rebellion against God. Any sin you commit makes you guilty. Therefore, it makes no difference whether it is gluttony or murder. 2 Cor 10:12 For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding. We are mistaken when we compare ourselves with ourselves, or each other. Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, God compares us against Himself - we all fall short. I hope this helps! Love in Christ, Mark |
