Bible Answer: Dear Ruby, Yes, I think, in certain contexts, that could be applicable. She is, through no fault of her own, bereft of her husband. Of course, in ancient times, that circumstance could be life threatening for a women. Even the writ of divorcement was designed to protect a woman's reputation so that she could be married again.
