Bible Question:
Luke, Goodmorning,no argument here.Did I say something here unscriptural? This is not about this person praying to change Gods Word. What do you know about this person? Does this person know any better? Is this a young or new christian? Has anyone asked these questions? I'm not Mr. perfect by any sense of the word, not even close.I just try with the help of God and the help of a lot of very dear men and women of God to be the best man of God I know how to be. This forum is and has been an opportunity for people to make a difference,to learn,to encourage,to share.God has done some great things with this forum. What it is not is a platform for us to be arguing or lambasting each other. (I'm not intending to point a finger at anyone, let me be clear about that.)We're family lets have the same compassion for each other that God has for us. So why dont we make the effort to find out a little more about this person so we can lovingly and firmly disciple and advise this person in the admonition of the Lord. What do you think? In Christ, lionheart. |
Bible Answer: lionheart, Sorry for the misunderstanding, this wasn't directed towards you. I was sure I directed it to "recarnier". I didn't feel I was lambasting anybody, or arguing, just quoting what scripture says. Don't need to know a whole lot about a person to identify something that is incorrect. Maybe I don't write with the eloquence of some, but why have this person continue in a situation that is out of GOD'S will (if you believe what is taught in the Word)for years and years, having this false teachings and who knows what else instilled in their tender and impressional heart until they are "a mature Christian" (which you know as well as I, this probably will never occur if this church can't see this is incorrect procedure) Do you leave a child in the middle of the street until he "matures" (learns on his own what the stop lights mean) or do you take them out of the street and teach them? brend L clearly said, "First thing I would do is pray for her...and also ask God what you should do (in prayer)." What to do, What to do...Pray versus obey......hard choice??? We already know some of GOD'S will, it is written down for us...I just provided the references (pointed out the obvious) for recarnier. I guess you are right, we don't know if this person is even saved, or has even heard the Gospel, as it is presented in GOD's word. Maybe I should start asking them to descibe their salvation experince. It may be a real I opener for me. And yes, I did read the disclaimer before I submitted. Sorry again for the misunderstanding.
